Temple Puncak penulisan presence on the hill with an altitude of 1745 meters above sea level(asl). This temple is often called the Temple Pamojan Tegeh ata. The fungtion is as a place for worship of Lord Shiva which is the manifestation of God Almighty. It includesmany objects there are relics of the megaliths up with the influx of Hindu civilization to Bali.
This temple has a high historical value and some of the uniqueness that makes it different from other temples that so many people who want to visit it. Form of the temple buildinghas two concepts namely the concept of the first taken from the pre-history which can beseen clearly, especially the rise of the building structure. And the second concept is the construction of this temple is reached 7 level with the first and second levels connected bystairs.
While at the 3rd level there is Temple Temple Taman Dana and Dana, at the level of the four arebeing Temple Ratu Panyarikan-6 level to have the Queen Dahatua Temple, the last peak topeak-7 is a temple there are shrines Pengaruman pelinggih, Piyasan and Gedong as a place to store archaeological objects.
About the making of this temple is not clear, but based on some of the existing heritagebuilding is estimated to begin in the year 300 AD (bronze age) and continued in the 10th century until the end of Majapahit in 1343 AD Most of the population living around the temple was a farmer.
